What can't be missing in the perfect bonfire, "torrada" in mallorquin for Sant Sebastià?

Written by: Can Company Category: Recipes

With the cold of January comes to Palma the fire and its crackling, its capacity to purify and to renew, the smell of wood and ashes, the warmth and joy of traditions and family celebrations, the flavour of the best Mallorcan gastronomy and, of course, the day of the capital's saint, which is celebrated on the 20th of January: Sant Sebastià.

On the 19th of January, the "Revetla" of Sant Sebastià in Palma burns and fills with warmth and colour, with smells that nourish the soul and spirit and, of course, with a tradition rooted from generation to generation: the foguerons (bonfires).

A multitude of bonfires are set up in different parts of the city - and private spaces - and become wonderful embers on which to cook some of the most emblematic and delicious products of the islands. Embers that provide the necessary heat to enjoy the city and its joy, its famous concerts and the activities programmed to celebrate the annual festivity, in Mallorquin "revetla".

At Can Company we want your grills, "foguerons" to be perfect and we want you to grill the best products. Also we want you to celebrate in style and, after the sadness of last year, we want this year to be a special Sant Sebastià.

That's why at Can Company we have prepared a "Revetla" of Sant Sebastià pack so that you can celebrate with your friends and family. In Palma, January is not seen as the end of Christmas but as the celebration of Sant Sebastià with good food and the best company.

This year, we will take care of everything so that you can enjoy some very special bonfires:

Pack "Revetla" Sant Sebastià for 4 people

4 hamburgers

1 pack Frankfurt (2 sausages)

1 pack Butifarra blanca (2 butifarra sausages)

1 sobrassada

Pack "Revetla" Sant Sebastià for 6 persons

6 hamburgers

2 packs Frankfurt (4 sausages)

2 packs Bratwurst

2 packs Butifarra blanca (4 butifarra sausages)

1 sobrassada

Enjoy the fire, your people and a city that longs for happiness and normalcy.

Happy holidays to all of you!
